Year 3's trip to Romford War Memorial

Year 3 went on an exciting trip to Romford War Memorial.

The children have been learning about Remembrance Day for their History topic this half-term so it was really good for them to see all of the names of the brave service men and women that have sacrificed their lives for our country.

They travelled by bus into Romford town centre and then walked to the memorial, they all enjoyed riding on the bus very much!

When the children were at the memorial, they spent some time looking at the inscriptions and all the names carved into the memorial, then they did some observational drawings of the memorial.

Year 3 were very luck with the weather, as the sun shined all morning!
